Solomon is technology strategist and consultant at a Fortune 500 Global Firm leading a multimillion-dollar large technology implementation. He worked as a software engineer before joining management consulting. Solomon has been producing and hosting “TechTalk With Solomon” weekly show for eight years. He also published of the first-of-its-kind science and tech book in Amharic.
As a career tech professional, a TV personality evangelizing the topics of science and technology, an author of one-of-its-kind Amharic SciTech book, and a public speaker, Solomon has been advocating for the application of science and technology to cultivate innovation leapfrogging in Ethiopia and Africa at large. As the poster child of technology through his TV show, public speaking, coaching, and authorship, Solomon has been influencing tech policies, galvanizing STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) and the need for tech startup among millions of youth.
As a result of his continuous desire to do more in bringing a digital disruption and transformation in Ethiopia, he brought his new vision of establishing 1888 EC, a unique tech startup studio and an innovation co-working hub in Addis Ababa, Etihiopia.

In 2017, Ethiopia’s Ministry of Science and Technology recognized Solomon as an ambassador of science and technology for advancing STEM in his country.
In 2018, nominated Most Influential People of African Descent (MIPAD) Global 100 List in support of the International Decade for People of African Descent under 40.
HOBBIES
Solomon is left-handed and he has such a big passion and love for art and design. He is a proud dad and loves spending time his daughter. He loves doing interior design, enjoys fashion, plays musical instruments (piano and drums), and enjoys adventures and outdoor activities like jet skiing, skydiving, roller-coaster ride, swimming, biking, ground tennis, and soccer.
